Course Objective: To understand the relationship between psychological factors and physical health and learn how to enhance well-being.

Course Outcomes:

1.     Students will identify and describe the key concepts and theories in health psychology worldviews.

2.     Students will examine the contributions of health psychology to the understanding of acute and chronic illness worldviews.

3.     Demonstrate advanced knowledge of individual, group and community-based approaches to the stress management and prevention of major identifiable health concerns and problems (both acute and chronic conditions). 

4.     Demonstrate understanding of the biological, behavioural, cognitive and social determinants of health, the risk factors for health-compromising behaviours and strategies for their modification, across the age range from childhood to old age. 

5.     Students will explain how principles of health psychology operate in everyday life worldviews.

6.     Plan and critically evaluate research in health psychology and behavioural medicine.


Course Objective: The course aims at enabling the students to develop an awareness of the concepts related to organizational behaviour and helps understand the connectivity between concepts and practices of organizations.

Course Outcomes:

1.      Describe theories and empirical evidence to understand contemporary organizational issues.

2.      Understanding of individuals processes while at work and its implications on the organization.

3.      Illustration of groups and its dynamics while at work and its implications on the organization.

4.      Apply theories to practical problems in organizations in a critical manner.

5.      Application of leadership theories into practice.

6.      Design techniques and skills in collaborative teamwork, time management, self-motivation, and project planning.
