Course Objective: The paper aims at providing an overview of the concept of abnormality and the clinical picture and dynamics of various psychological disorders. This will sensitize the student about information on psychopathology and dispel myths regarding it.

1.      Describing personal and social interactions using major theories of abnormal behavior.

2.      Understanding one’s own and other’s behavior by applying the knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, classification system and DSM categories.

3.      Utilizing major studies and theories given by abnormal psychologists to explain the psychological experiences of human beings.

4.      Analyzing and comparing various affective disorders, eating disorders and anxiety disorders.

5.      Assessing student’s knowledge of various disorders by way of clinical cases.

6.      Planning and implementing interventions related to different disorders.
